Using jboss-4.0.5.GA, Spring 2.0.2, WebSphere MQ 6.0.
Running a deployed countries.war Spring Sample with modifications to start up a
DefaultMessageListenerContainer in it.

Finds TransactionManager @ java:/TransactionManager.
Problem when getting UserTransaction @ java:comp/UserTransaction.

StackTrace Caused by:
org.springframework.jndi.TypeMismatchNamingExcepti on: Object
[org.jboss.tm.usertx.client.ServerVMClientUserTrans [EMAIL PROTECTED] available
at JNDI location [java:comp/UserTransaction] is not assignable to
[javax.transaction.UserTransaction]

Question:

ServerVMClientUserTransaction implements javax.transaction.UserTransaction but
it is not assignable as such by spring... I do not get this error in WebSphere
5.1. but, then it uses a different approach in the wiring up of a
JtaTransaction. Perhaps this is a jboss configuration issue, .war assembly
issue, etc. (classpath) but have not resolved yet.

JBoss was just installed - no configuration changes except copying default into
my own name and running under that name as my server. Spring jar files and mq
jar files loaded under WEB-INF/lib.

I'd appreciate whatever help you guys might be able to provide on this and I
will post back when I stumble across the fix....

Thanks

David
