[org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamExceptionFilter] uncaught exception
javax.servlet.ServletException: Error calling action method of component with
id register:register
is too generic. I am asking for the full stack to see what is causing it. With
you original code it was

u.username from com.vds.seamregistration.bean.User u where

The cause should be different now.
