On one of our busiest servers, jboss just crashes about 2-3 times a day. No hs_err files can be found anywhere on the disks. No trace of the crash is left in the log file either. All non-application categories in log4j.conf are at the WARN level. I tried running the server with all categories on TRACE level for a while, but the performance impact was prohibitive, so I had to move them back to WARN.
The crashes started after some messaging with rather large ObjectMessages was added to an application. Other, not-so-busy servers running the same application and with identical configurations, are stable for many weeks now. Do you have any suggestions how could I catch the cause of these crashes?
