I have a "Profile" entity, so I do:
employee.getProfile().getPermissions() wich are a bunch of strings, assigned to
user at loginTime (#{authenticator.authenticate}) as roles, so xhtml uses
#{s:hasRole('role')} and java uses Profile object, hope that helps.
