Apologies for misleading you here , you had basically configured type 2 driver here . Actually you can get Type 4 behavior by setting the driverType property to 4 as <xa-datasource-property name="DriverType">4</xa-datasource-property> You don't need to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH once this is done .
