Would it be possible to change the encoding in the
jboss.xml file within the tomcat-test.jar within the
tomcat-test.ear from CP1252 to something like UTF-8?
With the current encoding, the Tomcat test app is
never deployed when I launch the JBoss server.

I've made this change manually (after quite a bit of
hunting around and then piecing things back together),
and now things seem to work just fine. Other people
in the list have had the same problem before. It is
disconcerting to get a bunch of exception messages
when booting up the server - you have to look into it
to realize that it is not actually a problem (at first
it appears that the installation may have failed-
ack!).

It seems to me it would be easier to just change the
file that is initially distributed to use UTF-8 (or
whatever) and therefore reduce the amount of confusion
for other newbies down the road.

Unless I am missing something...

Steve
