[JBoss-user] Linux support of threads

The JBoss article at 
http://www.jboss.org/documentation/HTML/ch10s02.html states that there 
is no support for "real threads" in Linux.  I don't know when this 
article was written, but is this statement true today with the current 
versions of Linux?
