JBoss team, After reviewing the archives it seems several people have had similar problems to this one. So I am assuming either its a bug or something that is complex to implement. Either way just wanted to pass it along: When accessing an EJB from a servlet that hardcodes the JAAS password, or uses no password: Login is successful but an Authentication Exception principal=null is thrown Can anyone else confirm that they are having a similar situation, or maybe I am just missing the idea of how to implement this feature.
