Hi It doesn't look as if the ear file (from the demo app) has been placed properly in your jboss 4.0.4RC1/server/default(or all)/deploy directory (check it is in there), check that you are starting the server up with the correct profile (default or all).
If the file is not deployed correctly then check properties file (that build.xml) uses to locate the installation of 4.0.4RC1.
