Our expertise is providing custom technical solutions to federal clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic area, specializing in complex, multi-tier application development projects, utilizing technologies such as NET, ASP, XML, Visual Basic, Java, Sharepoint and other MS Products. In addition, we are known for providing strong database architecture including data modeling, database design/ implementation, and performance tuning/benchmarking in Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase environments, as well as Systems integration. Currently we are seeking: Java Architect w/JPBM (Workflow)- can be either a permanent hire w/salary and full benefits inc. a bonus every 6 months, or as an hourly Consultant. Please email or call for salary/hourly rate. This person will be the Technical Architect in the development of a new system for a new client. This system is replacing two older systems, one COTS and one custom. It will be a full lifecycle software development engagement, from requirements definition through to deployment. This person will be the senior technical resource for a project of 4 to 5 people. This person will be responsible for developing the system architecture and supporting documentation, an initial prototype of the application, then acting as a member of the development team to completion. 1) At least 5 years professional experience developing complex, n-tier Java applications, including: ? Detailed understanding of the component-oriented development, object oriented development ? Expert knowledge with one or more Java application servers ? Expert knowledge with JBoss application server a very strong plus ? Strong knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the development of secure systems ? Significant experience and deep knowledge of JBoss JBPM (aka JBoss Workflow) 2) At least 3 years of in-depth SQL Server experience, including: ? Programming T-SQL to create stored procedures, triggers, user-defined functions, and complex SQL statements. ? Data Modeling. ? Design and Implementation. ? Performance optimization. 4) Proven experience with the following technologies: ? XML, XSL, XPath, XQuery. ? HTML/DHTML, JavaScript. 5) At least 5 years experience with full life cycle development in a Software Engineering capacity, including: ? Consulting with clients to define needs or problems. ? Active involvement in the design and implementation of software systems. ? Ability to generate technical documentation. 6) Consultant oriented skills and responsibilities, including: ? Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills. ? Experience working directly with customers, including producing and conducting technical presentations. 7) Deep knowledge of Windows-based network topologies and protocols, including the configuration and administration of networked PC's and servers.
