We are always running JBoss AS on 8 or 16 CPU systems (both Linux and Windows). 
 My desktop is a 2-CPU system with hyperthreading (4 physical CPUs), and I runn 
JBoss AS all the time.  No special configuration is required to get JBoss AS to 
make use of those CPUs, but you might want to look at the information provided
