Hi,

I have an application that was running fine with JBoss 4.0 and doesn't work
anymore with JBoss 4.0.3SP1.

When the application cannot get a connection to the database:
- In JBoss 4.0: it throws a java.sql.SQLException
- In JBoss 4.0.3SP1: it throws an org.jboss.resource.JBossResourceException
that contains a nested java.sql.SQLException

Why has this changed ?

This is causing me problems because the application should be portable to other
application servers. I'd like to continue to ship it without the jboss library
that contains the JBossResourceException class and I'd prefer not have to
modify my code where the java.sql.SQLException is caught.

Regards.
