So your cache should be replicated and if the first server node goes down, the application should still be able to retrieve cached entries from the cache instance on the second node.
If the cache isn't replicated successfully, then it's likely that your nodes aren't communicating properly. Your cluster configuration should be ok as long as you have the same configuration on both nodes.
