Folks, My company is seriously considering using JBoss for enterprise applications. Some of our executive managers are somewhat cautious about using open source code and have tasked my co-workers and me with actually talking with (or emailing) real JBoss users who are currently running applications in Production, preferably on some Unix platform. Basically, we're interested in hearing first hand about your experience managing a Production JBoss application. Topics like, what kind of user/transaction load does your Production application incur? Did you have to write a lot of custom monitoring or administrative utilities? Have you used training or consulting from the JBoss Group, if so did it meet your needs? How successful has using a forum like this been for addressing your technical issues? If 3 or 4 users with JBoss in Production would be willing to talk with (or email) me and one or 2 of our architects about a high level recount of your experience, it would greatly help out our effort. If you're interested, please contact me and I promise not to take up too much of your time. If this is not the appropriate forum for this type of request, please accept my apology. If there is a better forum that addresses more operational issues for JBoss than development issues, please direct me there. Any insights that you could offer would be appreciated!
