Well I think I've finally got it, I thank you very much, PeterJ, for all the
help.

I am still not able to view the jmx-console from the web and Im wondering what
I might be doing wrong. (I have changed my port to 9002)
so the last lines of the run.sh look like this

  |
  | 21:54:19,195 INFO  [Http11BaseProtocol] Starting Coyote HTTP/1.1 on
http-0.0.0.0-9002
  | 21:54:19,616 INFO  [ChannelSocket] JK: ajp13 listening on /0.0.0.0:8009
  | 21:54:19,819 INFO  [JkMain] Jk running ID=0 time=0/235  config=null
  | 21:54:19,842 INFO [Server] JBoss (MX MicroKernel) [4.0.4RC1 (build:
CVSTag=JBoss_4_0_4_RC1 date=200602071519)] Started in 38s:858ms

I am having a bit of trouble with a deployed program though,
It is Tambur sms message gateway (tambur.org)If you'd like you can look at the
whole output log to see if there is anything obviously wrong.
(i updated the log at www.nettechglobal.ca/putty.log)
Thanks very much again
