This is occuring because you have no transaction active when you try to use the jBPM context. Possible solutions:
(1) You could use SeamExtendedManagedPersistencePhaseListener (2) I could change Seam to support non-transactional access to the task lists I recommend you do (1). I'll give (2) some thought.
