Try the following to get a hold of the tx manager.

  | objTreeCache = new TreeCache();
  | objPropertyConfigurator = new PropertyConfigurator(); 
objPropertyConfigurator.configure(objTreeCache,"treecache-service.xml"); 
  | 
  | 
  | TransactionManager mgr = objTreeCache.getTransactionManager();
  | 

Which tx manager have you specified in treecache-service.xml?
