In the jmx-console, check the jndi name to which the bean is bound as follows:

1) http://localhost:8080/jmx-console
2) Here, under the jboss link, search for service=JNDIView. Click on it. 
3) Then click on the list operation
4) You will see a list of jndi names and the classes of the corresponding beans
5) Look for your bean name/jndi-name in this list.
6) Then do a lookup on that jndi-name

If you still have issues, post the output of the jndi-names listing
