If we had infinite time we would probably support both JSP and Facelets. Since we don't have that time we only provide one (and it has to be fixed to be usable with latest JBoss Seam release) :(
Why JSP ? Well... People are probably more used to JSP than Facelets so they can start modifying the result right away. That said, it could be better to provide a Facelet only version, i'm not sure... I started an attempt to make an Eclipse wizard but had too much to do.
