EJB3 RC7 corrected a problem with accessing a null MBeanServer in Embedded. However, there are currently issues related to required services that are not deployed to the MBeanServer (e.g. unable to create temporary queues for an MDB). I suggest you upgrade to EJB3 RC& if you have not already done so.
