ok - bear in mind there, that you are adding the app directly, so any
changes to the application will not be reloaded by jboss (although they
may be by jetty). to deploy through jboss, grab the war file that you are
deploying and drop it in the deploy directory

'fraid to say this is a bit of an rtfm (o:

the manual has a good example of what you're after (start
here: http://www.jboss.org/online-manual/HTML/ch01s08.html), and includes
all the files (see http://www.jboss.org/doco_files/).

yes, looks odd to me too... I'm assuming the codebase debug line is wrong
somehow... someone else may be able to help you more on that - might be
worth asking on the forums to see if you can get an answer there

see above

you might be better off ignoring the fact that jetty is the web container
until you're more up to speed with the whole architecture. the
configuring will be set up already, so all you need to do is take legal
(as per relevant specs) .ear .war and .jar files and drop them in
jboss/deploy and watch it run!

there's a jboss-docs discussion list:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jboss-docs

which is where discussions on the docs should take place I think.

bear in mind that I'm just a user, so none of this is "official" (o:
