We have an environment where the routers only have version 2 of IGMP. Therefore they do not support the Source-Specific Multicasting (SSM) found in version 3 of IGMP.
Does multicast version of JBoss clustering that uses JGroups only work via version 3? We can only get 1 host to source any multicast information when using a single multicast group address. It appears that each JBoss application server tries to both send and receive on a single multicast address in the (224.0.0.0 - 239.255.255.255) range. Is that correct or am I mistaken? Did I miss something in the configuration? If I didn't miss anything, is there a way to configure each server to have it's own sending multicast group address with all the servers receiving on all the group addresses?
