Problem solved! I simply have forgotten to add the pooled actor also to the 
task instance itself, so that's the correct code:

[...]
PooledActor pooledActor = new PooledActor(actorId);
pooledActor.addTaskInstance(taskInstance);
hbSession.save(pooledActor);

pooledActors.add(pooledActor);
taskInstance.setPooledActors(pooledActors);
hbSession.save(taskInstance);
[...]
