Hello Guys I hava a problem with database connections say two machines A,B both Machine A has JBoss 2.4.3 Tomcat 3.2.3 running on them.On machine A i have Oracle Release 8.1.7.0.0 running. The JBoss on machine A is able to successfully make a connection with the database. This might be cause the database is local to this JBoss. But i have porblems connecting to database from machine 'B' The error it throws is ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ [VFSDS] XA Connection pool VFSDS bound to java:/VFSDS [VFSDS] java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01034: ORACLE not available ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist Linux Error: 2: No such file or directory [VFSDS] Pool VFSDS factory org.jboss.pool.jdbc.xa.XAConnectionFactory@60478 unable to create new object! [VFSDS] Pool VFSDS [0/0/10] waiting for a free object' +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I dont have problems with my Oracle installation ,
I think this might be cause my listener configs
for oracle might not be proper for acceting remote connections .So i have attached the
config files with this mail for u to have a look
Thanks in advance to all those who contribute to this mailing list. Its a boon to JBoss
Users
