I tried with both. I had problem with
both. Using, javants, I got some weird problem... something like (I don't
remember the exact error) but it was related with "Console 16 bit subsystem
error" or something like that... as soon as I got that problem, I stoped working
with javants since I got an impression that more people are using
JavaService. I am going to use JavaServices tomorrow as an
administrator. I hope that works.
Thanks for your reply.

When you say "When I tried it", what are you
referring to? JavaService or javants? I've only used javants, and
then only on platforms where I have administrator privilege. Running
services from a non-administrator id is tricky at best. By definition,
services start up when Windows starts up, before any userid is known, so I
thought services always ran with administrator privilege, though I might be
wrong about that.

First of all, thanks for you reply. I
found an interesting fact while trying different stuff. When I tried
it on Windows 2000, it worked fine. So, that leads to what's wrong
with my Windows NT 4.0 Server??? in terms of environments...
Do you know any "requirements" for this thing
to work? maybe service pack level? Do I need to administrator to do
this? It let me install it without having an "Administrator"
previliage...
Thanks.

Don't know about the ones you mention, but
javants from the jboss/contrib section has been working fine for us for
several months. We run Tomcat standalone and JBoss standalone, each
started as services via javants.

Subject: [JBoss-user] JBoss
2.4.4+Tomcat 4.0.1 as NT service
I have been trying to make JBoss+Tomcat to
run as NT service but doesn't look like it's working correctly. I
was able to install Tomcat alone as NT Service using
JavaService.exe. However, when I try to install JBoss alone as a
NT service, it gets installed fine but when I try to start the service,
it fails. My ultimate goal is to run JBoss+Tomcat both as a single
NT service. It looks like some people have done this but I just
can't make it work. I don't mind using JNT but didn't work out
either. Can anyone give me some tips on this?
Thanks.
