I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think anything is generating deployment messages from deployment of ejbs. I don't see how a generic message would work for you since you want the jndi name, a non-jmx property. You might be able to register for an attribute change notification if the Container mbean supports a status attribute -- haven't looked.
