Hi migrating (successfully!!) from jboss2.4.6 to jboss3.0.0,
i noticed a notable increase in the startup time of jboss.
On my machine PIII 1GHz, redhat 7.1 (krnl 2.4.7), with jboss2.4.6 it took
about 19 secs to come up (having trimmed off the message queues,
and hsql).

Now with jboss3.0.0 running the default server, it takes about
60 secs.
Also (which may not be a jboss issue), jasper jsp compilation seems to be
*very* slow compared with the one run in the jboss2.4.6_tomcat4.0.3 bundle
(altho it is the same version of tomcat).

I did not notice any other performance degradation.

The new architecture seems more elegant.

BTW, does anyone has an idea of when the full docs/book about jboss3
will be out??

Thanx.
