Hi Emily,

the "head" jboss-net does not depend on a particular Web-Container anymore, except that you need to have a war-deployer for setting up the servlets (if you don´t, then the AxisService will run nevertheless, but you got no transport endpoint which makes it of course less useable.

However, Bruce reported that the current, exploded way of deploying jboss-net (which allows you to change security and other configurations without unpacking the zip, editing and repacking the stuff on several levels of nesting) could be the reason that Catalina is not deploying the servlets correctly.

I think that Bruce found a workaround by packing the war and wsr subfolders into a single ear and putting this into the sar, but then Jetty seems to complain.

Betreff: [JBoss-user] building new jboss-net.sar

Hi all,

I'd like to deploy Axis with tomcat on jboss4.0.0alpha now that Axis RC1 is integrating.  I'm trying to rebuild the jboss-net.sar to use Catalina, but having difficulty because it seems like things have changed since Bruce posted this http://www.csd.abdn.ac.uk/~bscharla/soap.html.  Could someone please post the steps required to build jboss-net.sar so that AxisRC1 is integrated and so that it uses Tomcat?

Thanks,

Emily
