I'd guess if your entity beans were BMP then you could do a JMS publish when ejbStore() is invoked.
Your client would then synchronize data based on a received message. Looks like you'd be interested in the (stalled) JSR-107 (http://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=107&showPrint) SpiritSoft have a product based on this effort - http://www.spiritsoft.com/products/jms_jcache/overview.html If you're using CMP then i'd think you are out-of-luck..
