Hi,
the following is in reference to the JBoss "authorized consultant" program:

I had never seen such a certification you must pay $5,000.00 yearly to keep it and doesn't even buy you actual "support".
I actually think that it is a pretty good deal. The $5000,- includes a free seat at a JBoss Advanced Training, which you should do anyway IMO. If you cannot justify the cost of this program then you really have no business in the J2EE world I think. It is a small investment in a world where you can easily earn that kind of money in less than a week :-)

What attracts me to the program is that you are also allowed to franchise their simplified JBoss & J2EE training, which should be a really good start if you want to enter the consulting/training business.

Are there any people on the list who are doing JBoss consultancy now? I might move into that direction pretty soon and I am very interested in hearing some real life success (or failure) stories.

Stefan
