Hi,

I just downloaded the "Getting Started PDF" and am stuck at compiling
the code from cvs. Here is what happened:

 mkamp@hamlet:~/jboss-src/jboss-all/build$ ./build.sh clean most
build.sh: *WARNING* Ignoring environment value for $ANT_HOME
build.sh: Executing: /home/mkamp/jboss-src/jboss-all/tools/bin/ant
-logger org.apache.tools.ant.NoBannerLogger clean most
Buildfile: build.xml

_buildmagic:init:
Trying to override old definition of task property

BUILD FAILED
file:/home/mkamp/jboss-src/jboss-all/build/../tools/etc/buildfragments/tools.ent:29:
taskdef class xdoclet.modules.jmx.JMXDocletTask cannot be found

Total time: 2 seconds
mkamp@hamlet:~/jboss-src/jboss-all/build$

I believe I did what is described in the pdf. So maybe it is my
environment? I am using Debian Woody with Kernel 2.4.18+ACPI, on a Sony
Vaio GRX316G laptop with enough memory, disk space etc.
I am using the Sun VM:
mkamp@hamlet:~/jboss-src/jboss-all/build$ java -fullversion
java full version "1.4.1-rc-b19"

  Anything else I should mention?

I have another issue ... How do I search intelligently for solutions
to problems and answers to questions? I haven't been able to search the
archive online. It's funny that it doesn't seem to be possible.
groups.google.com didn't help either. I found some online stuff at the
website, but I couldn't figure out how the mailing lists are mapped to
the online stuff. This is not an attempt to replace mailing lists, is
it?

  Thanks for your insights.

Cheers,
Mariano
