We wanted to see which was the easiest weblogic JSP port since both Tomcat
or Jetty needed would required changes on our end. The winner: Jetty by a
country mile. Just some basic compliance issues that weblogic let us slide
on and we were up and running in no time flat. I definitely recommend Jetty.

Hello!
I am using JBoss 3.0.4 wit Bundled Tomcat 4.0.6. I was

planning

to use this version for a production environment. I have just seen the
release of JBoss 3.0.5. Should I upgrade to this version? Are these

versions

stable enough for production, or should I use any other version?

Which security considerations should I take care to move

JBoss

to production?
On Linux, JBoss 3.0.4 uses the jmx-console to stop the

service.

This way I can't remove jmx-console. One of the steps I am planning to do

is

to activate the security of jmx-console. What other things should I

change

to improve security/performance. I am using the default JBoss

configuration.

I would appreciate your help, and to hear your experiences.

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

I don't have any production environment setup experience with JBoss3 but
we are due to release our product in the next few weeks on jb304tc406 so
I'll be watching this thread.

Could you briefly mention what made that country mile? Was it just the changes particular to weblogic?
