I forgot to mention that I'm using oracle-xa-service.xml (not sure if
this matters).
Everything worked when I changed from byte/Byte to int/Integer
and changed:
jdbc-type="NUMERIC"
sql-type="NUMBER(3))"
To:
jdbc-type="INTEGER"
sql-type="NUMBER(10))"
