My understanding so far is that JBoss with JMX only can set
run-time configurations. If you restart the server they will
be lost.
My understanding is, that David wanted something more persistent.
For example with the Bea console, you can change init-parameters 
for servlets which actually get reflected in the web.xml file on
disk and which persist over restarts of the server (not redeploy :-)
