I've set jsp precompilation up for a small example project as part of a training course - the difference in user experience was massive - no measurements but I'd guess at least 10x faster to load a page the first time it is viewed.

What would be nice is a "compile JSPs on deploy (rather than first use)"
option in jboss-web.xml so that we don't have to set up Ant tasks to do
it :)

Do you use the jikes for compiling?

yust a hint

bax

Cheers,
Alex.
