Some more details:
It looks like hsqldb is causing our problem. When the Queue size is approaching
40000 messages, hsqldb throws an OutOfMemoryError (The vm has lots of memory
availible). That seems to block any further recieving of messages.
We are using hsqldb through a TCP connection (hsqldb-ds.xml as shipped).
We used a file based PM before, but found that unreliable when the Queue got
bigger. We thought JDBC2 would handle this better.
The expected result if the MDB cannot deliver messages to Oracle would be a
growing DLQ.
Would it help to tune HighMemory and MaxMemory in MessageCache?
Should we revert to a file based PM?
