Zauber; Sorry, I missed that you had referenced JRat. The shutdown is a problem, but a new rev of the software supports a triggered flush of the stats via an HTTP port. I am not sure if that rev is available yet, but I can ask Jeff to push it out there.
Also, I am hoping to work with him to create an MBean so that stats can be viewed in the JMX-Console.
