yes - it is possible to secure the jmx-console.

you have to edit the two xml files in the jmx-console.war 's META-INF directory.

the files are pretty well commented, so you should be able to follow along easily. 

i highly recommend purchasing the jboss documentation - this topic is coverred in more 
detail there, and it's packed w/ tons of other good stuff.
