Okay, so I've gotten a little further (but still quite lost :)) So I found the permission module.
I then found the bb component. I was able to select one of my groups from the Group drop down. And then for permision I put in a category name and appended .* For the Level I give it ADMIN. And now users of that group have ADMIN capabilities for the forum. Hurray!!! After experimenting a while I have a system that works as I want it to, but I'm not really sure how this is supposed to work. The user's can't see anything until I give the group comment level security. Then they have the rights I have assigned to the forum. What do these security levels mean since add/edit/delete don't effect the add/edit/delete privileges (as they are defined for the forum) The other question is I noticed that some things use a .*:.*:.* pattern. What is this about?
