Underscores aren't a valid character for a hostname. MOST dns installs don't care. But you should talk to your IT guy and plan on removing them, just for sanity's sake. Bind 9 (and a couple others) WILL have a problem with them, so upgrading could be an issue.

So hou_dev_02 will have all of its cookies kindly discarded by IE6 but if I use the IP address directly then IE6 will happily accept the cookies and allow me to log in and manage the critter to my heart's content...
