thanx for the suggestion.

we run the same jboss with same configuration on our local server that has redhat 
linux... the only diff is that it is not a 64 bit itanium and it works perfectly fine. 

like i said, even on the production server, jboss runs in root.. so i dont see a 
question of permission to files... am i missing something here?? 

my knowledge with linux is restricted to simple navigation and edit, nothing fancy.. 
but i think 'root ' wouldnt have permission problems rite?

which is why, it brings me to the differences, that is itanium, and jdk for 64 bit 
arch. linux..

What kind of access rights problems do you forsee or think are possible?
