I'm trying to findout exactly that. As I dig through the forums i see a few references to having problems and needing to LD_ASSUME_KERNEL to 2.4.1.
If i had to guess based on those posts, there might be some issues with Suns 1.4.2 VMs on RedHat 9.0....but i'd like to get confirmation and also more information as to what the problems are.... My sysadmin is reluctant to set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL to 2.4.1 without a good explaination.
