When posting xml you should put it in a block to avoid garbling the xml. Here are a few stabs in the dark:
Are B and C started? Have you declared your methods in the interfaces for B and C? Not sure if you should be using getAttribute() for getInstance(), but you should make sure you have setAttribute() method as well.
