We had a lot of problems with the "ping" or more correct "no ping" during heavy load. When the processor is near 100% it seems like the ping task has lower priority than every thing else.
For us the following solution gave us amazing performance in our last project, with a lot of JMS queues: We got rid of the ping by using the JVMIL configuration "java:/ConnectionFactory" for clients in the same JVM as the JMS Server. I know this won't work for all scenarios, but there is no ping and it's fast! We are pushing messages on to the queue remotely using a session facade (this also seems to be a lot faster compared to RMI JMS). /Goran View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3835274#3835274 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3835274 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: SourceForge.net Broadband Sign-up now for SourceForge Broadband and get the fastest 6.0/768 connection for only $19.95/mo for the first 3 months! http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_id=2562&alloc_id=6184&op=click _______________________________________________ JBoss-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jboss-user
