I'm fairly new to uing EJBs myself so I am probably missing something, but it looks to 
me like your bean is definded to have candidateId as the primary key, yet you have 
multiple entires with the same primary key, could that be what is confusing JBoss?  
From your table I  am guessing that either passSeq is the primary key, or you have a 
compound primary key of candidateId and passSeq, but that is not what you have in your 
DD.
