Personally I prefer to change the multicast address as it splits up the clusters by making one configuration change.
If you change the partition name there are other configuration files that refer to the partition name that will also need to be changed. I don't have the list of files that would need changing but if you search these forums the list has been discussed quite a few times in the past.
