We are using JBoss 3.2.3. The JMS messages are all gone after we restart JBoss. It looks like all messages have been deleted and all tables have been recreated. The following is what we did in hsqldb-ds.xml file. 1) uncomment out tcp connection 2) comment out in-process db with file store 3) uncomment out mbean code
