ejbRemove() is invoked when the application server feels like it.
It has nothing to do with transactions/requests.
For all practicle purposes that means undeployment of the mdb
in JBoss.

I'd suggest you use the pooled jms connection provided by the resource
adapter, see the FAQ and the examples on the WIKI.
