Can you also describe exactly the structure of your deployment, an error like this is usually due to something small that is difficult to see no matter how hard you are looking. Are there any old deployments that have been left behind? There is always the posibility that the wrong class is being picked up. You mention that you have a jar, war and ear. What happens if you just deploy the jar on it's own, does that work?
