Apparently the interface has not been configured for multicast traffic.

Subject: [JBoss-user] IP_MULTICAST_IF error problem

Hi all,
I have just installed Jboss 3.2.6 on Fedora Core 2. When running the app server I saw this error...

java.net.SocketException: bad argument for IP_MULTICAST_IF: address not bound to any interface
        at java.net.PlainDatagramSocketImpl.socketSetOption(Native Method)
        at java.net.PlainDatagramSocketImpl.setOption(PlainDatagramSocketImpl.java:260)
        at java.net.MulticastSocket.setInterface(MulticastSocket.java:418)

I have been trying to find the source of the problem but all the reading has not given me even a hint on how to solve it. Does any1 here has a similar problem before and may know how to solve it? Thanks.

David
